Branch Executive - Full-Time Position

Branch Executive Position Summary :
Reporting into the COO, the Branch Executive of Lower Bucks Family YMCA leads the mission which is to create relationships and offer programs that provide a healthy start for children, growth for youth and teens, wellness for adults, and unity for families. The Branch Executive is responsible for upholding staff professionalism and excellence, as well as positive culture, safety and cleanliness. Specific, direct oversight includes: Membership, Financial Development, Camp, Fitness, Aquatics, Sports/Family Programming and events across the two branches of Fairless Hills and Newtown.

Branch Executive Education and Experience :
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent.
  • Six or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
  • Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
  • Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  • YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
Branch Executive Essential Functions :

Staff: Recruit, train, and consistently develop a staff team which exhibits a welcoming, positive, mature, and empathetic attitude; while displaying high knowledge of our cause driven services.
Environment: Establish a clean, safe, organized, welcoming environment that speaks to all members.
Relationship Building: Through the use of Listen First, establish positive collaborations between staff to staff, staff to member, and ultimately member to member.
Data: Continually compile and use survey results to close service area gaps throughout areas of responsibility.

Branch Executive Core Responsibilities :
Grow membership, programming, development and retention through the following:
  • Secure the details. Lead with excellence. Ensure branch professionalism and adherence to best practices
  • Set the standard for positive engagement, organization and strong Y leaders who demonstrate care, communication, consistency and culture
  • Develop and direct high quality relationship-based engagement strategies. Model relationship building skills in interactions with staff, volunteers, members and the community
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the branch operating budget to meet and/or exceed budget goals
  • In collaboration with COO, Facilities and Risk Management, ensure the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment
  • In collaboration with VP of Marketing, direct branch marketing and communication efforts to effectively communicate benefit to the community
  • Lead development efforts; achieving branch goals as set by the Development Department. Ensure Y presence throughout the community
  • Address community needs through the development of programs and services
  • Attend Board Meetings (eventual leadership thereof), Senior Leadership Team Meetings and other organizational meetings to actively acquire information on current Y projects, membership initiatives and areas of focus

Director of Development - Full-Time Position

Lower Bucks Family YMCA is currently looking for a Director of Development. The Director of Development will foster a culture of philanthropy and be responsible to plan, coordinate and assure implementation of strategies to develop donors and contributions under $1,000 at the Member & Community Division & Staff Division levels of giving. The Director of Development will have an understanding of annual fund, capital campaigns, endowment, grant writing and presentations, cultivation events, etc. The Director of Development must be an excellent communicator with strong writing skills. REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21-years old; must have a minimum education of Bachelor's Degree, and 3-5 years experience in fundraising. HOURS NEEDED: Salaried, Monday-Friday but nights and weekends as needed. Teacher - Young Toddlers (Newtown Branch) - Full-Time Position

The Teacher/Group Supervisor(GS) will plan, facilitate, and provide ongoing assessment of daily activities in the Young Toddler classroom. Certified Lifeguards

The Lower Bucks Family YMCA is looking for Certified Lifeguards for the Newtown Branch. Certified Lifeguards may opt to work additional hours as Swim Instructors - Swim Instructor training will be provided. Certified Lifeguards, like all LBFYMCA staff, will receive an individual Y membership at time of hire. REQUIREMENTS: Must be a minimum of 16-years old and have current LG certification. Deep Water certification may be provided if needed. HOURS/DAYS NEEDED: Monday thru Thursday, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM and/or 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM shifts available. LOCATION: Certified Lifeguards are needed ASAP at our Newtown Branch, some shifts available at our Fairless Hills Branch. Competitive Aquatics Director - Full-Time Position

The Lower Bucks Family YMCA is looking for an engaging Competitive Aquatics Director for the Tri-Hampton YMCA Swim Team. Under the supervision of the Regional Director of Competitive Aquatics, the Competitive Aquatics Director will be directly responsible for the leadership, program development, quality and safety ot the competitive swim team. REQUIREMENTS: Competitive Aquatics Director must be at least 21-years old; have a Bachelor's degree in related field, extensive knowledge of competitive swimming, physics of swimming and stroke mechanics and NCAA, USA and National YMCA swimming rules including minimum of American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) level 2 certification, 3-5 years experience as a Head Age Group Coach or Head Swim Coach, 1-3 years supervisory experience, possesses and maintain current Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification . DAYS/HOURS NEEDED: 6/7 days per week, evenings and weekends. SALARY: $35,000 - $50,000 (salary will be commensurate with experience). The CIT Coordinator is responsible for working with other camp staff to develop leadership opportunities for our CIT program. Swim Team Coach - Part Time Position

The Lower Bucks Family YMCA is looking for an engaging individual to work as a Swim Team Coach for our Tri-Hampton Swim Team. The Swim Team Coach develop and improve the technical and physical skills of the swimmers. This coach will also be responsible for providing a fun and enjoyable environment which will help introduce competition while supporting personal and social development of team swimmers.

The Y is currently seeking energetic Aquatics Fitness Instructors to lead aqua group fitness classes for our members in the water. The Aquatics Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for instructing water-based group fitness classes in a safe, enjoyable, professional and positive environment which fosters member wellness and engagement. Personal Trainer - Part Time Position

Are you interested in making a difference in the Fairless Hills and Newtown community? The Lower Bucks Family YMCA works with members every day to help them achieve their wellness goals and we need Personal Trainers to help. Our Personal Trainers provide one-on-one or group services to YMCA members that subscribe to the service. The Lower Bucks Family YMCA is looking for a Dance Teacher to lead class for children. Also, Dance Teacher must know Ballet, Hip Hop, and Tap and enjoy working children. 21st Century Community Learning Centers Site Monitors - Part-Time Position

The Bristol Township 21st Century program is seeking qualified site monitors to join our team.  The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate student learning and growth.  This assistant position reports to the site coordinator and will aide him/her in a challenging after-school learning center that develops student success.  Experience working with elementary school-aged children in a classroom and/or after-school setting is a plus. Candidates must be flexible and willing to help with various duties, pass criminal background checks, and be available Mondays through Thursdays from 3:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Rate of pay is $13.00 per hour.
