Y announces donation from Dominion Energy

dominionRLower Bucks Family YMCA is grateful to receive a donation from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation in support of the Y’s Youth Education Center in Morrisville. The donation will be used to help fund Financial Assistance programs for families in need.

Last week Director of Dominion Energy’s Fairless Power Station, Robert Sauer, presented Morrisville Branch Director Janet Allen and Director of Youth Education of Pre-K Counts, Michele Fina, with a check for $7,500. They were joined by children from Morrisville Youth Education Center.

Stocked full of everything you will need at each of our branches, the new app includes a new "find a class" feature, electronic access to schedules and links to current member challenges. You can also keep track of your workouts right on the app -- record manually or take a photo of your of you machines screen, and it will automatically input the information for you.

The app is no cost and free to use inside the Y...or out!

Renovation in current location announced

renovateRLower Bucks Family YMCA Board of Directors has voted to remain in its current location in Fairless Hills and is beginning plans to overhaul the dated facility to better serve the community and meet growing needs.

The YMCA listened to member and community feedback to stay and enhance the building on South Oxford Valley Road which was built in 1959 and houses a fitness center, program space, gymnasium, pool and child care center. The board consulted with an architect experienced in YMCA construction to rework the space within its current footprint to allow for an expanded fitness center, additional program space and more parking, plus give the entire building a new look.
